New Year Approaches Goals Are In Place

As the new year approaches, only 10 days away, I have begun mapping out my goals for the year.

  1. Healthy Living: The highest priority is continuing my healthy living. After visiting my dr for my 6 month checkup, my numbers have improved, I was moved from stage 3 kidney disease back to stage 2. My liver numbers are improving as well, I am suffering from fatty liver disease. And I was sooo close to type 2 diabetes and now my glucose level is back to normal. What I have done the past 6 months is cut out sodas, added veggies particularly green, red and yellow bell peppers; broccoli and cauliflower. I eat them raw and also bake with olive oil & some sea-salt. I cut out a lot of red meat and stick with poultry and adapting to fish. I drink way more water and have included cranberry supplements as part of my daily routine. I try to walk 3 miles, that’s over 10k steps 5 or more times a week. I’ve lost 30 pounds. I plateau’d and now must jump start my metabolism by adding weight lifting, of course light weights which can include Pilates and other cardio routines.

2. Exploring: including geocaching, hiking, trekking or hanging with friends. This jump starts what Journey and Exploring is all about. I have prepped myself with the GoPro to document my adventures to share once a week here and coming soon YouTube.

3. Travel: As I am getting older not younger, I would like to plan 3 trips to visit family and friends. Another way to Journey and Explore life.

My prayer and hopes are that everyone finds time to get out and “Journey and Explore” what life has to offer in 2019
